EPISODE 97

Embrace Audacity in Leadership: Elevate Your Life and Business

"What would your life look like if you had the audacity to embrace your true self; messy, beautiful, and unapologetically you?"

I am so happy and grateful you’re here—happy freaking New Year! Can you believe it? We did it! We made it through 2024. Take a moment to celebrate yourself—everything you accomplished, overcame, healed, and risked this past year. It’s important to acknowledge those wins before diving into the magic we’re about to create in 2025.

This week, I dive deep into a topic that’s been tugging at my heartstrings: audacity. Yep, we’re going there—straight into the bold, brave, and beautiful act of embracing your true self. Let’s talk about what it means to show up authentically, unapologetically, and with all the courage you can muster.

I started this conversation by sharing some deeply personal experiences. You see, for much of my life, I’ve wrestled with being highly sensitive and intuitive. I’ve felt like I was carrying emotions too big for this world—emotions that often left me feeling out of place or overwhelmed. For years, I tried to numb those feelings through unhealthy coping mechanisms, including struggles with eating disorders and substance abuse. It was like living in a constant battle between who I truly was and who I thought the world wanted me to be.

Sound familiar? If you’ve ever felt like your true self was too much or not enough, this episode is for you.

The journey to audacity starts with healing. For me, that meant facing those struggles head-on, peeling back the layers of societal expectations, and unearthing the hidden gifts buried beneath my pain. I had to redefine what success meant for me. Spoiler alert: it’s not about the fancy title, the corner office, or the picture-perfect Instagram feed. Real success is about feeling fulfilled, aligned, and at peace with who you are. It’s about living a life that feels good on the inside, not just one that looks good on the outside.

One of the big themes we explored in this episode is the shift I believe we’re all stepping into in 2025. Leadership, success, and how we show up in the world are evolving. The old ways of doing things—hustling for worthiness, measuring success by external accolades, and suppressing our true selves—are crumbling. In their place, a new paradigm is emerging, one that values authenticity, connection, and alignment. It’s about leading with heart, not ego.

And that’s where audacity comes in. To step into this new way of being, we’ve got to get bold. We’ve got to give ourselves permission to dream big—really big—and take the steps that scare us the most. Because those are often the steps that lead us closer to our true desires.

One thing I emphasized in this episode is the power of reprogramming our thoughts. Our minds are powerful, but let’s face it: they can also be our own worst enemies. The stories we tell ourselves—the ones about not being good enough, smart enough, or brave enough—are just that: stories. And guess what? We have the power to rewrite them. By shifting our mindset and focusing on thoughts that support our goals and desires, we can create new neural pathways that propel us forward instead of holding us back.

2025 is your year to reclaim your power. It’s your year to define success on your terms and to lead authentically in every area of your life. But here’s the thing: no one can do it for you. You’ve got to choose it. You’ve got to decide that you’re worthy of living the life you dream about, and then you’ve got to take the first step, no matter how scary it feels.

I’ll leave you with this: Audacity isn’t about being fearless. It’s about feeling the fear and moving forward anyway. It’s about trusting that you are enough, just as you are, and that your true self—messy, beautiful, and imperfect—is exactly what this world needs.

So, what would your life look like if you embraced your audacity? If you dared to dream big and step boldly into who you’re meant to be? Take some time to reflect, and then take action. Whether it’s a small step or a giant leap, every move you make toward your true self matters.

If this resonates with you, and you’re thinking, Yes, Brooke, I’m the audacious one! I want to level up in 2025!, then let me tell you about the next step.
