EPISODE 95

Unlocking Aliveness: Breathwork, Healing, and Energetic Entrepreneurship

Have you ever felt stuck in your head, disconnected from your body, or weighed down by unprocessed emotions?

I know I have, and that’s why my latest podcast episode with Samantha Skelly was so transformative and inspiring. Samantha is a trailblazer in the world of breathwork, personal development, and empowerment. Through her own journey of overcoming anxiety and an eating disorder, she founded Pause Breathwork, a platform that has helped countless people reconnect with themselves and find healing.

In our conversation, we dove deep into the power of breathwork, self-discovery, and the magic that happens when you align with your true self. Samantha has this incredible gift of seeing and reflecting others' authentic selves, and her energy is truly magnetic. She’s not just about talking the talk—she lives her truth, and it shows.

Breathwork isn’t just about breathing; it’s a portal to transformation. Samantha shared how breathwork allowed her to process emotions, release trauma, and reconnect with her body after years of struggling with anxiety and disordered eating. Her journey from dance to breathwork was fueled by a deep desire for healing and authenticity, and she’s turned that passion into a movement that’s changing lives.

One of the key takeaways from our conversation is that transformation requires both mindset shifts and body-based practices. So often, we get stuck trying to think our way out of problems when the real solution lies in reconnecting with our bodies. As Samantha says, “The universe responds to our desires when we remove resistance.” And let me tell you, breathwork is a powerful tool for clearing that resistance.

“ If we want to change our reality, we have to get down to the beliefs that live in our body.” - Samantha Skelly

In both life and business, Samantha emphasizes the importance of energy over strategy. She reminded me that when we lead with our energy and intuition, the right opportunities, people, and outcomes naturally follow. It’s not about forcing or hustling; it’s about aligning with what truly lights you up. This is such a game-changer, especially for women who are conditioned to over-plan and overthink.

We also explored the deep-seated beliefs that shape our actions and emotions, particularly around money and self-worth. Trauma can distort our perceptions of reality, and until we process those wounds, we’re often operating from a place of lack or fear. Samantha shared practical insights on excavating limiting beliefs about money and redefining success as soul fulfillment rather than just financial gain. Can I get an amen?

One of the most profound parts of our conversation was about embracing the full spectrum of human experience. Samantha believes that feeling deeply—whether it’s joy or pain—is what activates a sense of aliveness. When we suppress our emotions, we end up with what she calls “emotional constipation,” which can manifest as anxiety, depression, or even physical illness. But when we allow ourselves to feel and process those emotions, every moment becomes an opportunity for growth and connection.

Presence, Samantha says, is the key to experiencing the richness of life. By being present with our breath, our bodies, and our emotions, we can transform even the most mundane moments into something profound. What a beautiful reminder!

Samantha’s programs, like the Life Mastermind and Breathwork Facilitation Program, are incredible examples of how women can come together to support one another in personal and professional growth. There’s something so empowering about being in a space where you’re encouraged to lead with your energy and intuition. It’s a reminder that we’re not meant to do this work alone.

I’m so grateful to Samantha for sharing her wisdom and authenticity with us. If you’re curious about breathwork or looking for ways to reconnect with your body and soul, this episode is a must-listen. Together, let’s commit to living with more presence, authenticity, and aliveness.
