EPISODE 87

How to Break Free from Perfectionism and Thrive

What core belief about yourself is holding you back, and how would your life change if you rewrote that belief into one that supports your growth?

Breaking free from perfectionism is a journey that once you start, there is no turning back baby!

If you’ve been around for a minute, you know that perfectionism is that sneaky little monster that keeps us stuck in a loop of “I’m not good enough.” Well, it’s time to kick that belief to the curb and rewrite our mental script. So, how do we do that? Through mindset transformation and embracing all our glorious imperfections!

This isn’t just about thinking differently. It’s about tapping into those deep core subconscious beliefs that drive our behaviors. These beliefs are like the puppeteers of our lives, pulling all the strings, often without us even realizing it. Whether it’s the belief that “I must be perfect to be loved” or “mistakes equal failure,” these old stories are what keep us from truly shining.

So, here’s the thing: You can reprogram those beliefs. Yes, seriously! You’re not stuck with them for life. And that’s where mindset transformation comes into play. When we start to adopt a growth mindset, we realize that perfection isn’t even the goal. Progress is!

I get to fail forward over and over again until I get it. I get to be a work in progress.

In this week’s conversation, I share how to recognize those sneaky, unhealthy beliefs and swap them for affirmations that actually support your growth. I’m talking about statements like “I am enough,” “I’m learning from every experience,” and “My worth isn’t tied to my achievements.” These are the affirmations that will help you shift your perspective and, let’s be honest, bring a little more joy to your journey.

Every experience is either a lesson or a blessin’.

Doesn’t that just take the pressure off? Instead of stressing about getting everything right, we can start asking ourselves what we can learn from it or how is this a blessing in disguise. This simple shift helps us stay curious and open to growth, rather than getting caught up in the trap of perfection.

By embracing imperfection and setting realistic goals, we free ourselves from that constant cycle of feeling not good enough. And trust me, when you give yourself permission to be a little messy and human, that’s when you start to see real transformation.

It’s time to shake off the perfectionist mindset, reframe your beliefs, and start showing up as the incredible, imperfect human you were always meant to be!
